I didn't find a Cube dedicated thread (just some mentions in the Saw thread) so I figured we could all have a good discussion on the cult canadian-made favorite, Cube. Actually I'm doing this because the the third movie comes out on DVD tomorrow!

I forgot all about it until I just found it on the release list for this week. Most agree that the first is the best thus far, and I'm hoping this prequel delivers a good flick for us Cube fans. I got it on my Netflix list and I hope to check it out in about a week.

Any other Cube series fans?

There are THREE Cube movies? I didn't even know there was a part two. I have never seen the first one though--might have to put it on my Netflix list too.

I have seen this movie 5 times, but only the middle part of it. I have no clue why they're in the cube, if they get out, and why the black guy goes crazy and starts killing everyone.

You never really find out, someone escapes, and he goes crazy because he's crazy.

I watched a bootleg of Zero a few weeks back and I really enjoyed it. You get to see another side of the universe in this one. It's about the people who watch what's going on inside the cube. But there's still plenty of Cube goodness to go around. If you enjoyed the first you'll dig this. I wasn't all that into the second movie (still enjoyed it though) but this one was great. I’ll chill on the spoilers until some of you get to see it but this one isn’t all that big of one (considering it’s obviously a prequel).

It directly leads into the first movie in a really cool way.

Cube > Cube Zero > Cube 2: Hyperspace

Cube 2 wasn't about a sphere it was just that every door led to another dimension (the structure was called a hypercube). Weird, yes... but it wasn't all that bad.

I didn't think Zero was all that scary compared to the first two (but I didn't think they were scary, just cool). Sure, you've still got a few really cool deaths but it's more eerie on a voyeuristic level.
