Yea but I dont think I have the experience (read: havent passed the right number of tests).

I once had a temp job at an actuarial organization grading some of those tests. Judging from the success rate (only 25% of them passed), they're really fucking brutal. Good luck with those.

Speaking of temp jobs, that may be an option for some of you. It was really really easy. I just called them up, went in, took some MS Office tests, and boom, I was making $10 an hour doing grunt office work. If you don't like your current assignment, you just call the agent office and have them send you elsewhere. Half the time I was just running copies and sending faxes. Simple, stress-free stuff.

Then again, depending on your temp agency and where you live, temping could be hell. I know someone who was sent to maintenence at a hospital (which means cleaning up blood and puke).

Well can't complain, it's a job after all.

I've heard all the horror stories and it's not like I particularly love EA. But it's still a huge name to put on your resume down the line. If you can stick with EA, you can work anywhere in the game industry Besides, I think I'm gonna be on the NBA Live QA team... so it isn't so bad. At least I love basketball.

If things get really bad, I think I may be able to get a job testing at Next Level Games.

At this point though, I just really need something to get me off my ass.

I've been unemployed for like 2 years now. Apparently there's not a whole lot of unfilled openings for inexperienced 3D modellers. Go figure.

I'm so sick of sitting at home all day. I've done nothing but play WoW for the last 3 months. I really need to get out.

Hopefully, though, I'll be a tester at EA soon. Interview's in 2 weeks. Wish me luck.

Good luck. But, also, are you looking for work around your area or abroad? If you check out San Francisco or Vancouver or Seattle you'd have more luck. Also, attitude and follow-through is everything.

I have 2 internships are the current moment in time, and I got them both by phoning, sending follow-up letters. The second one took a week to get back to me, and I sent them a letter asking them if I was hired or not (i was polite about it) and they told me that they wanted me to come down the following Wednesday to get used to the place.

It's so awesome working there. They bought me Indian food from a restaurant called Ghandis. It burned my mouth off but it was delicious. I literally thought to myself that I was going to die before finishing this meal off.

Alright I'm starting to loose my mind being home in wack ass city I hate... I went out in the city today from spot to spot filling out apps and got alot of "sorry we are not hiring right now". Oh well *goes to play Socom IIwith the rest of the unemployed*
