This Month's Haul ~ March Edition

I don't mind Haul threads. I like seeing what people purchased, because it often reminds me of "Hey, I need to pick that up". You (a.) compliment them on the purchase, and/or (b.) Give them a helpful tip about it, then you (c.) move on.

It's not hard.

But when you get someone who "outdoes" everyone else, mix in a bunch of bitter jealous nerds and you see what you get?

I'm probably the most laid-back member of the boards. I don't normally say anything about shit like this, but it's REALLY gotten out of hand, and it's making the Haul thread, something that should be, oh DRAMALESS because it's a fucking HAUL THREAD, into something as jaded as the rest of the boards.

I'm not asking for perfect unity, but this whole "let's bash morphix" is re-grass-damn-diculous.

"Oh, he's gonna go broke in XXX years"? Sure, you're joking/kidding, but there's a hint of jealousy behind that. "Are you investing it?" blah blah.

Morphix is doing EXACTLY what a majority of us here would do if we acquired such a vast sum of money is such a short amount of time. How many times have we said to ourselves "if I had the money, I'd buy such and such"?

I'm not his Morph's defender, and I really don't give a damn what he does with his money, but some people here REALLY need to chill out.

i dont know how morph got his money but i hate how people rag on jeremy because of his eyes and the fact that he cant work but praise others here. doesnt make sense to me.

I think it's more that the Haul threads have pretty much just turned into morphix's image-dumping threads. He doesn't talk about the stuff he gets, he doesn't really post anything at all anywhere on this board; he just comes to the Haul thread and urls the fuck out of a bunch of sites with pictures. Before it was basically "someone posts something, someone else posts a couple things, someone else posts one or two things, etc.," and now it's just pages of anime boxsets from the same guy.

I really don't care if he posts or not in the Haul threads (mostly because I rarely look inside them) and I don't think he should stop because of this nonsense, but it's not like there wasn't a big change.

This doesn't really happen anymore, at least to me. It's not single purchases from people taking the time to pick out what they like, it's one guy shovelling up everything he might remotely enjoy in same vague sense just because he has the captial to toss around. Not really the same thing.

It's not going to make sense.

Most people are spoiled unrelenting fucks who can say whatever they want behind the safety of their keyboard. I'm surprised that Jeremy holds it together so well. I'd have been like, "fuck this site" a long time ago.

But he constantly proves himself to be a bigger person that most of the people here. He was happy to have a g/f, and people ragged in him about that, yet he always remained in good spirits.

Why don't you just say, "Hey, you buy too much stuff, you can't play in our Haul thread", because it's the unspoken message that's being given. He already gave a reason as to why he doesn't post in Gaming Discussion. I think it defeats the point to coming to this website, but hey, it's his decision.

He buys the stuff, he's doing what everyone else here does, just to a larger degree.

But I've said what I'm going to say, I've given my opinion, so anyone can take it how they will.

Well keep the incomplete sets box art out, but the close to be completed (missing two or less) facing out. That's what I do, and it works well.
