The end was satisfying though and it really was an amazing game and without a doubt the best of the year so far.

Nope, RE 4 is much better IMO. I never got bored with RE4 unlike GoW which has some boring puzzles and a much lamer last boss. Cool ending though.

I just finished this.
You guys cannot be serious about the end jumping sections. That really wasnt all that hard. I can think of far FAR worse. Considering how easy the rest of this game was, maybe it felt off cause it was the only bits of a little challenge. Even that water moving wall part only took like 2 or 3 tries. It was nothing.
This game was amazing from beginning to end. PS2's best game by far. That ending was pretty satisfying, they could have just lamed out and ended it with a cutscene. Even the extras you unlock are a nice little reward. I still dont like the design for Kratos though, but oh well.

It's less about being hard and more about being totally retarded and poorly implemented.

Best American game, maybe. But God of War definitely bested by games like ICO, Metal Gear Solid 2 & 3, Zone of the Enders 2, Devil May Cry and Viewtiful Joe.

hmmmm nah. I love ICO and mgs3 to death, but i like God of War better.

Ico, MGS2 and MGS3 are about on the same level as God of War. I'm not going to get into ZoE and DMC but I know for sure that VJ is in no way better.

You are...so sad. As if one questionable level (which I completely enjoyed) negates the level of depth, challenge and design that Viewtiful Joe has over so many other games (very much including God of War).

Depth? There's like 7 real moves in the game and the levels are so basic it's laughable.
