The spinning blades strike again! It's not hard. Just learn the pattern and bang that shit out. You'll get that old school kick ass feeling when you get passed it.

The game never froze on me during the battle, but for some reason during his second form, I double jumped and started swimming. I swam straight up into space, it was a really weird glitch! I beat the second tower like two minutes after I posted that message, I guess I just needed a break. Anyway, here is the lowdown:Originally Posted by Rocca
Things I liked:
*The graphics and environments were awesome
*The music was excellent, as was the voice acting
*Controls were smooth and brutal (finishing moves rocked)
*Storyline was well written and had good pacing
*DVD style extras were really entertaining; I really liked seeing the unused 3d models and deleted levels
*Really used its M rating in a mature and adult way
*The puzzles were well thought out and required little backtracking
Things I didn't like:
*Hades. Worst. Level. Ever.
*Seriously, those spinning towers were the most annoying thing ever!
*Had a couple of slight camera problems
Overall, it was an awesome game with a cool ending. A solid 9/10 from me (like anybody cares).![]()

Anyone who died on Ares during his second form is bad at video games. My one and only time fighting him I never once took damage and destroyed him in a minute or so.
This is what really set it appart from other action/adventure games that try to implement puzzles. In most other games the puzzles are a horrible side notse that ruin the flow of the game, in GoW they make perfect sense, keep you moving forward, and don't take you out of the action.Originally Posted by animegirl

Like grinding to a complete halt so that you can kick a wooden crate a bunch of times really slowly? In most other games the puzzles are a horrible side notse that ruin the flow of the game, in GoW they make perfect sense, keep you moving forward, and don't take you out of the action.
But yeah, there was a lot of good shit in there.
Unless I'm mistaken, wasn't it you that couldn't beat the boss on the boat in the very beginning of PoP2 WW?Originally Posted by Opaque

Yeah, but that boss was gay, PoP2 has a broken fighting system, and four minutes into the game you have no grasp on how to fight enemies properly. I went back in and tried it after puting a few hours on the game to see if it was more managable and she never hit me. Not even once.
