You answered your own question. The line for must-play and not runs somewhere between GoW and Rygar.

Cause God of War was extremely violent and bloody

I just started playing GoW again after not touching for a year and Im about 7 - 8 hours into it getting close to the end of the game

There are things I like about it and things I find really annoying about the game overall it's good though

But I do think I liked Rygar better gameplay wise but GoW definitely has a much more engaging story, it's just more developed more thought out, much much more fleshed out than Rygar was

I really hope in GoW 2 they give you control over the camera thats one thing that really really annoyed me in GoW

Didn't the camera in Rygar bother you? I thought the Rygar camera was brutal. At least GoW's fixed camera didn't really get in the way.

  4. The only reason I can see for camera control is to spot hidden chests easier. It might've helped a little during the hades level too.
"Chuy, you're going to have a magical life. Because no matter where you go, it's always going to be better than Tucson."

  5. I think way more people would've complained if you had to control a camera too. Has there ever been a good controllable camera? I've rarely, if ever, complained about fixed cameras. For high-octane games it just makes more sense to leave it fixed so the gamer can focus on the on-screen action.

I just finished the game on Hard and I swear to god those spinning blade towers are probably the easiest bit of platforming in the game.

Ohh man no way GoWs fixed camera drove me crazy at times, for the same reason alot of fixed cameras drive me crazy, when you're fighitng a bunch of enemies or doing something right by where the fixed position changes and one second up is one way and you move a little to the left and now up is another way, I mean yeah I can adjust just fine to it but it still annoys me. Plus there were times for certain jumps or levels, and like revoltor said when looking for hidden chests, when being able to move the camera even a little bit would have been a wonderful thing.

I don't know I don't find controlable cameras as annoying as the rest of the world does *shrug*

I had that problem a lot more in Devil May Cry than I did God of War, but even then it didn't drive me nuts... just sayin. By contrast I've played Ratchet & Clank for about 45 minutes and been inconvenienced by the camera about 10 times.

    Different strokes.

You can't beat a fixed camera for this style of play, you just reaaaally need to plan and test a lot to make sure awkward switches don't happen.

I'll have to take your word for that because I've never seen it come together like that. To date the best 3D camera is a pulled-back lock-on.
