If it was legalized I still don't think they'd let people grow their own shit and if they did they'd tax the seeds or something, assuming they did tax it. You can make your own cigarettes but that doesn't stop the government from taxing the shit out of those.

As far as the winters go, they just last a bit longer. Temps are pretty comparable.
