I wish there was a number that shown how many PS2s were the 2nd or 3rd purchase for people due to shitty old ones. Or even replacement for defective PSTWO units.

Only because a class-action lawsuit forced them to do so. They sure as hell are not doing it out of the goodness of their heart, or even for postiive customer relations. Have you ever tried to have Sony replace a PS2 with DRE problems? It takes forever, and if there are any incidental problems with the PS2, they'll just reject it and ship it back.

That wasn't my point. The point was that the percentage of re-purchases for PS2 probably isn't much higher than re-purchases for the other systems.

Yeah, I had them repair my system. Took about two weeks total from the day I called them to the day I got my system back. Wasn't a bad experience at all.

Just play what is good if you own the system its on.
