Yeah they should at the VERY least, put in a check point. Somewhere half way through the level. That would eliviate some of the pain. And maybe two checkpoints on the final level since they are like 3 levels in one. But nothing more, NO NO NO unlimited continues options.

I think it needs unlimited continues since that how the game was designed...but in the arcade you lost $0.25 every time you continued so you still gave it your all to master the game instead of just barging forward. The Xbox version should have unlimited continues, be hooked up to Live, and charge your credit card $0.25 every time you continue.

The scary thing is a tiny part of me thinks that might work.

I'm sorry but I don't feel the need to master every single fucking game I play, the MS series for me, has always been about mindless shooting jumping and killing and thats what I LOVE about the series

that i can just keep going on and enjoying myself and having a good time with out thinking

not having to memorize enemy patterns and other shit

if I want that I have a large library of shooters for it

leave my MS games how they are

I think unlimited continues should be an option you can select, and if you do allow them on they should dump you where you died. I think the most important thing that should go with it is that once you die on your first credit your score stops increasing.

As soon as I use a continue my enjoyment of the game normally gets fractionized....

they allready have a system in place for that every time you use a continue it ads a 1 to your score and it's the only thing that adds anything less than i think 10 or 100
so it's quite easy for people who know the games to know when some one posts a score that was using continues and is a much better system then whay they did to MS3

Oh and MS3 rom will not work on standard modded Xbox cause of the limited ram. Get the greatest hits import PS2 version, it's near perfect.
