Not to mention that he's apart of a pretty sleazy industry with a rich history of drug trafficking and abuse. A lot of nightclubs are owned by corrupt men, so wrongful termination wouldn't be out of their mindsets. I'd be surprised if they had any second thoughts about it once the pink slip was handed out.

So yeah, suck it up. You got canned, it stinks, but focus your energy on moving bars, not clinging to the last one that did you wrong.

Ream her ass. I think she's earned it. You don't owe jack to the other people who are still working there- if there are some who get deported, it's their tough luck. It's mighty unfair of her to ask you to come in on your scheduled day off.

Reminds me of when I got fired from working a bar because I had the flu and was unable to walk more than a couple feet at a time and was hurling as often as I could. The owner was a total ass, attempting to run the place while not listening to the managers despite never being there himself and thus having no clue what was ever going on. It took the managers two weeks to figure out if I was fired or not, which should give you some clue how much in touch he kept with the place.

I could've had tons of shit levelled against them, they had at least three under 21 (I know one of them was 19, can't remember the ages of the others) females bartending and all sorts of minor infractions. But I just said, "Whatever," and moved on.

But if she was trying to get you to sell alcohol to her drunken underage friends and got pissed off at you because you wouldn't break the law, then I say go for it. I got fired because my boss was a dipshit but he didn't hate us because we wouldn't do illegal things for him, that's just retarded.

Not sure how it varies from state to state, but I think around here you can be 18 and serve alc. Pretty sure, I have a few freinds that did bartending before they were 21.
