It looks the exact same. It'll play the exact same. The original was good, so this will be. That's all I was trying to say. If Doom 2 came out over a decade later and was the way it was, it'd be very "port"ish.

No it doesn't, and no it won't. I don't remember being able to do flying kicks and uppercuts in the original, the characters are much bigger, which will probably affect the pacing of the action (hence the forward scrolling rail levels instead of stuff like the mine cart), and the weapon system is clearly changed, there seems to be a super bar... I could go on.Originally Posted by Joust Williams
OK, so there are some minor (as I see them) differences.
Even if there weren't, it's still completely and utterly retarded to call it a port, or even a remake. Rehash at worst. Is Sonic 2 a port of Sonic 1? It's nonsense.
OK, it's a rehash with little graphical upgrade. That's what I meant to say.
Alright, fair enough.
Still, given the fact that it's been about 12 years since the last Gunstar Heroes game, this feels like much less of a rehash than your average yearly Metal Slug sequel.
No, I am not saying that it sucks...I was trying to say that a competent rehash of a good game = a good game.
Yeah, Ikargua and Advance Guardian Heroes were really really different from their prequels. This looks alot more faithful. I still think it looks different enough, but whatever. I'm glad the foundation is the same.
