Well thanks, Mr Insight. Some of their games are better than others because they're inconsistent. That's like saying someone's wet because they're covered in water. Redundant zilch.Originally Posted by diffusionx
Honestly, here's the real reason: Treasure is just inconsistent.

The video, screens and impressions from Sqoon and Sam Keenedy @ 1up.com have me drooling. This is the game that has forced me to put a GC-GBA player on my to-buy list. Can't wait to play this with my Hori pad.![]()

I was just telling a friend the other day that I wouldn't buy any more GBA games. Treasure has made a liar out of me.
The original came out for SMS/GG. It was, surprisingly, not bad.Originally Posted by Swift
They changed/removed some levels in that one, though
Yeah, which was handled well. Rather than try to awkwardly recreate the original on incapable hardware they actually changed it and redid stuff to suit the GG. I think it came out well.Originally Posted by rezo
The SMS one is now beleived to be a hoax, btw. The SMS Dynamite Headdy surfaced though, and is surprisingly excellent. It's not a hack of the GG one at all, but an honest-to-goodness port, with full screen graphics, a new intro, and somewhat reworked levels. Harder, too.Originally Posted by kedawa

Yes, if you watch during 1:20 you can see MELON BREAD in the top left. I need new pants now.
So you're saying that two floating eyeballs, a floating red nose, and floating triangles that compose a mouth turn you on?Originally Posted by Valgar
The video find is nice. That M.Bison guy makes a return, as does one of the greatest bosses ever -- Seven Force.

Those bosses look fucking amazing. I missed the giant segmented baddies in Astroboy, but they are back with a vengence here. I love how it re-imagines so many of the old fights so that they still new. And the graphics look unmatched on GBA. I can't wait.
The gunstar-s-heroes.com page also updated today. It's a pretty slick site, especially for a Japanese one. Looks like it reveals the history/plot that leads up to this game, but I can't read it of course.
