This is true, but Thunderblade was a damned fine game. Except the shittacular Genesis version.

  2. Overall I have to say I am dissapointed. I have to agree with most of Pepsimans points. The good parts of this game are damn good though. Whatever happened to Bravoo Man and Pinkey, weither they weren't finished or it is a glitch, is just not something I expect from Treasure. I just think back to how tight something like Alien Soldier is.

This IS a handheld game and I know they were going for a "Time Attack" thing, but damn the levels are so short and disjointed. I was let down so badly with the "FINAL RUSH" level. I would pee myself in the original everytime I got to grab that floating saucer with the lone soldier in it, throw it straight into the ground, and everything on screen would fucking feel it.

The soldiers didn't have anything here, maybe I missed it, but they were just walking around and being killed by me.

I would've bought it if it wasn't for the hurricane. I'm getting it after work today.

  4. I beat the game last week with Red, the finale with Golden Silver was a little quick but the final level itself was amazing.

I just have one question now: I was paging through an older issue of Nintendo Power last night and it had a pic of the game in their "most wanted" section. In the pic, either Red or Blue is on a stage facing a green dragon with an audience in the background. Is this still in the game somewhere hidden or was it cut?

edit: BTW, Frog. Where is your sig's art from? I didn't see a scene with both Yellow and Green in the game anywhere. Just some nice promo art?

    Read the thread.

I beat it on Normal the night I got it, and I played on Hard until I got to that helicopter level. Shudder. After dying a good 5 or 6 times I haven't gone back to it, but the stones talk to you in Hard Mode and give you more backstory, so I have to do it.

I really, really like this game. It's definitely designed around the whole concept of a handheld, so people shouldn't be comparing it dead on to a console run and gun.

Agree with this 100%. I have been playing both GSH and the Genny cart since I bought the game and both hold up extremely well in comparison to each other.

Since you agreed with me, I'll be nice and say that Frogacuda posted about how the green dragon thing was cut from the game about 3 pages ago.

Pffft. I found it on my own. I don't need your charity. Besides, now I am sad, so there.

    Blue's ending on Hard.

  10. Thanks. Time to replay.
