Mmk, now that you said that Bandit, I've got another question. Since my iso of GTA and Socom didn't work, does that mean the game itself won't work either?
majority of games will be its normal size as if it was on the actualy system. You can stretch the image on top and bottom, but if you want to keep the same aspect ration, you'll have black borders on the sides only but not on the top considering the PSP is wider.Originally Posted by WTFer
As for SNES games, I dont notice any slowdowns. I dont have a keen eye for them. But if I do notice something is wrong, I'll up the framerate. The newest SNES emulator SNESY_TYL has speedhacks when you load up the game. It automatically applys it when it notices that specific game. I know Mario Kart has it. People usually tend to say its not 100% because they have to change settings inorder for it to run perfect. They consider it 100% when they can just load the game, without adjusting settings and can just play. Honestly, nothing is ever going to be 100%. People should just be happy with what they have and just adjust the settings accordingly to enjoy the game.
But with new games coming out requiring 2.0 inorder to play thus not allowing ISO, I might have to give in and upgrade. I want to try out GTA and play SOCOM but the ISOs wont work cuz it needs a firmware 2.0 and the version changer doesnt work at all. So unless someone can crack 2.0 and allow homebrew or edit the ISOs to make it run on 1.5, I might have to give it once the 1 year mark of the PSP hits.

GTA, SOCOM and The Hustle require 2.0 firmware to play. If you dont have the actual firmware you cant play. And with the actual firmware, means no homebrew.Originally Posted by Tater Tot

Me personally, Im waiting until March 24th which is the PSPs one year anniversary. If no crack is made by than, I'm upgrading to 2.0. If I need to play homebrew or whatever reason, I can easily downgrade.
Yeah, hopefully we will get word soon on whether or not the homebrew folks are making any progress on 2.0...
It shouldn't take long. I mean, it took them a few months just to get through 1.0 and 1.5, but they didn't have all the crazy security things going on. Maybe someone will pop up with some good stuff for us soon. I think that should have something out for 2.0 by March, heck even by the end of the year (yes, I'm optimistic).
What "crazy security things"?
The only thing keeping people from getting further is that 2.0 needs authentication or something like that. I forgot what the actual word is. But running certain homebrews and emulators on 2.0 is a start. The only reason why you cant get ISOs or other programs to run on 2.0 as you did with 1.5 is because it requires the program uses/looks for "kernel". But eventually someone will find a way. I'm positive they will. Its just a matter of time and is the waiting game.Originally Posted by Tater Tot

*Sigh* Patience is a virtue. Oh well, I got enough crap to keep me busy for the beginning portion of the wrestling season. Hopefully this 4 GB drive won't come to a waste.

Taterman, put a bunch of movies/TV shows on that sucker. For your comedy needs might I suggest multiple episodes of the excellent Mystery Science Theater 3000?![]()
