Thread: Everything you need for the PSP such as guides, programs, emulation, etc is all HERE!

  1. DDR/Stepmania for the PSP

Pretty damn good for a first release.

DeNitro and Devin923 have teamed up with Advance Theory and released PSPRevolution – an amaising new game for the PSP.

PSP Revolution is based off the popular game Stepmania and is compatible with Stepmania (.SM) and Dance With Intensity (.DWI) song files. To install additional songs, copy them into pack folders in "\psp\game\pspr\songs" just as you would in Stepmania.

Most of the time you assume the first thread is just a means to get the conversation going, not an "all-in-one" resource that links to most everything you need. My apologies.

    Dyne: Shut up.

Also, iPSP and PSPware for mac suck. :( I downloaded both, and iPSP is really buggy while PSPware is only a means for syncing your PSP with your mac. Neither are used to CONVERT video.

Yup, their best in a long time.

How 'bout a real answer, then. Download ffmpegx and there's a PSP encoding setting already built in.

That's what I've been trying to use for a while now. It's alright, but it has quite a few bugs that really irk me. It's not a real trust worthy program, but eh... I suppose it will have to do.

    Thanks.

  6. Ok, with GTA and Socom having these 'kernal' things going on, are all games made from here on out going to have kernals in them or something?

The games themselves require 2.0 files to run. Half of the homebrew apps/games use kernel thats why they wont boot on 2.0 using the eboot loader

Just like the DDR homebrew game released (see above posts), there is now a Beatmania

    - How to install
The package come with EBOOT files for both 1.0 and 1.5 users. Copy the corresponding version into X: \PSP\GAME\.

    - How to add songs
Copying the BMS packages (*.zip files) into X: \PSP\GAME\BMS is OK. But I recommend you copy the packages into X: \PSP\GAME\BMS\Tracks for the convenience of management. You can even categorize the tracks by adding more sub-folders under the Tracks folder, but that won't make any difference in the track selection menu in the game.

    - How to play
    1. Start the game from the PSP's main interface.
    2. In the main menu of the game, press Triangle button to scan for tracks (you only have to do this for the first time and when you changed your collection of tracks).
    3. Choose a track with up or down, and load it with Circle button.
    4. Play.

    – How to change skins
Press Start button in the main menu to bring up the black menu, then choose “SKIN”. You will be brought to a skin selection interface. Here, you can choose different skins for different cases as your own wish. Skins are stored in X: \PSP\GAME\BMS\SKIN. I’ve already enclosed 4 skins in the package. Feel free to try them out.

    - How to find BMS tracks

Oh I completely understand, I've had hell trying to convert some divx into DVD compatible video...

That's fucking crazy. Too bad I got my DVR for free and I don't have a video iPod nor a PSP.
