This weeks episode was gold. The stretching and the token basketball player stereotype (black guys can all play) was awesome. I like this show, but I don't see it lasting.

Dwight getting up in the face of that ukrainian lady after the layup was awesome too.

it doesn't help that they gave it the worst timeslot ever. Who is up watching sitcoms at 9.30? Nothing ever starts at 9.30, who is going to remember to tune in?

So the US version is good, eh? Its good to see that NBC got their act together after the ridiculously shitty US Couplings.

It has a weird charm to it, but Steve Carell does a great job. His character is semi-racist and sexist. When they were playing basketball with the workers in the factory he chose the black man in the Office first and foremost and said something like: "Of course, we'll take such and such." The black man was offended "What do you mean of course?"

When the black man got the ball and began dribbling in a very odd and peculiar motion (really bad, think woman) he yelled out: "WHAT!?! YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!!" He was calling him their "secret weapon" too.

I enjoyed it a lot.

Yeah I've really been enjoying this show, and I usually don't watch sitcoms at all, period. I like the psuedo-documentary style and the absense of a laugh track is great. I noticed that they marked next weeks episode as the season finale, though - does anyone know if they plan on giving it a full run of episodes in the fall?

I liked when the one guy he passed over for the team was just cashing in shots after the game was over too.

This was a great episode. Some of the jokes were really subtle, I loved it.

lol yeah, and he passed over him because he was fat. This is NBC we're talking about K3V, they gave Seinfeld like 3 seasons to grow, hopefully they'll do the same here. I'm glad it's kind of an office documentary. It adds a layer to it that other shows don't benefit from.

My favorite part from the racism episode was when he had prepared a video for the team, and to pitch to it he talked a bit about racism and then said: "But don't take my word for it." Then he rolled a tape with him on it talking.

"If you are a racist I will attack you with the North."

I watched it last night for the 2nd time. It was pretty funny. Other than Arrested Development, i can't think of a funnier show on network TV. I even had a dream about The Office last night, and it was funny too.

Sounds like they preserved the good elements from the British one. Im impressed.
