You should check out Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories. They made the combat ten times as horrible and removed the terrible level design to replace it with make-your-own terrible level design. I think what sickens me the most is that Squaresoft is a large company so you know they had to actually have a committee sit down, ask each other, "What could we possible do to make this game even shittier in every way we can?" and then brainstorm for days to get to this point.

It's a different kind of game, but I think it also goes for like $10 these days so it's not like you're losing much if you hate it. For the $10 or $20 you'll drop on Breakdown, I'd say go for it, but be prepared to work at it. There's a lot of cool shit in the game, but the gameplay is really not for everybody. I appreciated more what it was trying to do than what it actually did for me, but there were some parts of the game that struck me as insanely awesome, and I don't regret spending $20 on it. Maybe I'll try it again in an easier mode if it even has one, heh, the combat just didn't work for me but I would have loved to experience more of the game.

I think I'm going to finally play Crimson Tears today if I can clean up my room a little bit first. I am the world's only Dream Factory fan so I'm probably going to love it, but it got slammed pretty hard in reviews if I recall. I bought it last September or so but never got around to playing it. I should grab a copy of Kakuto Chojin off of eBay one of these days, too.

Old-school as hell, but the SNES version of Phalanx... It's not soldering-iron-sodomy bad, but it's just bland as hell. Still, it has an old Ozark dude with a banjo... Best. Boxart. Ever.

Many people, seem to regaurd that box art, as one of the worst in existance.

Another shitty game that I loved was Dark Arms: Beast Busters for the Neo Geo Pocket Color... hot damn, did that game have some fucking broke-ass Engrish. All I could think to myself, when I wasn't laughing, was, "I'm translating English".

I liked Kingdom Hearts despite the shitty level design... it managed to make up for it with the characters and charm.

Chain of Memories is awesome, it's like a faster paced Mega Man Battle Network. I love it.

Breakdown is fucking awesome, even though the lock-on controls suck ass.
