Yes, it is insane and makes little sense at all, BUT I'm pretty sure it is a satire.

as much as i love 8-bit theater, I believe that was the worst flash cartoon i've ever seen. By all means, it should have been funny,but something went terribly wrong.

Edit: seven minutes later, i begin to feel as if i was just stupid and didn't get the joke.

I kind of understand this movie, it had a few good laughs but no, it was pretty godawful if you didn't get the jokes. And yes some of them were pretty in. I lament my own knowledge of all things obscure.
