Just saw it. This movie is going to lose every award to Issue Movies and that makes me sad.

I thought it was interesting. Kind of a return to roots for Tarantino. Lots of dialogue to convey plot points. I think I prefer Django just because of Christoph Waltz's performance.

Speaking of which did Tim Roths performance as the hangman remind anyone of Dr. King Schultz? I thought he was channeling it too much but maybe it was just me.

He reminded me of the British guy on Mad, Mad, Mad World, which may be on purpose due to that being 70mm?

How I rank the movies so far...

1. Pulp Fiction - every piece was good and fit into a great moral parable about right and wrong
2. Jackie Brown - my favorite love story behind a heist
3. Hateful Eight - a better horror film than Death Proof and the love child of Reservoir Dogs & Once Upon A Time In The West
4. Reservoir Dogs - a great first film and shoot out
5. Inglorious Bastards - almost perfect but still WTF about the rather lame Hitler kill
6. Death Proof - Great Pt II acting & chase, Good atmosphere and capturing bar life, but rancid acting in Pt I
7. Django Unchained - I don't know why I have this so low? Great, great scenes, but I think it's the epilogue dragging and uneeded QT appearance in the final bits that ruined it
8. Kill Bill - again an editing botch splitting the film ruins the good story & great scenes
