Thread: Upcoming graphic adventures

  1. Vampyre story looks appealing. I was always more into to the lighter-tone adventure games than the moody serious ones.

    I haven't played a new adventure game in years because of this, despite it being my favorite genre. We need something more light-hearted like Sierra's Quest games and classic Lucasarts.

  4. Indigo Prophecy is certainly an interesting title, and it has a unique look to it. I'm looking forward to it.

    I really miss those types especially since I was trying out Sam & Max on DOSBox the other day and all the memories came back. I also miss cyberpunk stuff like Rise of the Dragon.

    I blame the genres decline on Myst, which is bar-none the worst thing to ever happen to gaming. That said, Vampyre Story looks very nice, and its LucasArts roots make it even more attractive.

    It's only one of the finest adventure games ever made. You really should get on that.

    And I'm hopeful for that Vampyre game... I'm with the rest of you guys that prefers the lighthearted adventure games.

  8. I need to play Dreamfall. The Longest Journey is most excellent. That character design sucks though.

    Isn't Another Code for the ds a graphic adventure?

    I thought Amerzone was a cool little game. Short as hell and easier than any adventure game I've ever played I think. Still managed to charm me. Just don't go in expecting Syberia-caliber production values.

  10. I'm not sure if it falls into the same category, but how was Burn: Cycle? I've always heard good things about it. Looks like normal FMV asscrabs, but I've heard it's good. I know it came out for the CD-i years back. Anyone played it? Thoughts?
