Vampyre story looks appealing. I was always more into to the lighter-tone adventure games than the moody serious ones.

I blame the genres decline on Myst, which is bar-none the worst thing to ever happen to gaming. That said, Vampyre Story looks very nice, and its LucasArts roots make it even more attractive.
