Cool. I'll be in office until late tonight, so I may catch you after that. If not, I'll be on the lookout for a match.Originally Posted by kuro

Oh damn I didn't know anyone was still playing this. I'm up for some games later tonight around 11:00 central tonight if anyone is playing or anynight this week.
I'll be on everynow and then, and I sent out friend requests. If I'm not on hit me up on AIM or something.
All is well.
Good news, everyone! I finally finished the single-player mode of Phantom Dust. Now I've ran out of excuses to not play the game on LIVE. What day and time do you guys normally play? I should be on for this weekend (either Friday or Saturday night).
By the way, which skills do you guys think are essential for LIVE play? I know Crush is great because it erases any environmental skills on the field, but what else is good? What about cases? Should I stick with two or do I experiment with one and three?

LOL, if you want to play competitively you're going to end up needing around 10 to 13 cases on average. These range everything from Erase decks, Close-Range decks, Med-Range decks, several Long-Range decks, decks that make use of certain schools exclusively, and decks that exploit certain combos of environmentals and status effects. As for number of school restrictions, you'll have several of each by the time you get a good number of decks built.Originally Posted by Cowdisease
As for skills that are great for online? Well that is entirely up to the kind of deck you're trying to make. For close-range, direct damage, alot of people go with decks that focus around powerful up Dance of Death and then taking out the opponent in one hit. Others do the same medium range with Crystillization or Memory of Battles. Then of course there's the decks that focus on simply destroying your enemies skills so that he doesn't have them and eventually runs out and loses life (those work great in team games because even if they keep reviving each other eventually they both die).
Don't focus on Crush simply because it's a permanent and destroys environmentals. There are other skills that do the same for less cost, one in the Nature school to be exact, and others that while being single use offer other perks like resetting any status effects that have been put on you or the enemy has used on themselves.
There are places online that have recipes for decks, but keep in mind everyone sees those and the more people who use it the more people who know the perfect counter to it.
Really the name of the game is to have one deck you go into any situation with, and then a bunch of decks you use to counter your opponents' decks once you have a feel for their style of play.
Time for a change
I still need to finish it, maybe that will be my project for now.Originally Posted by Cowdisease
