It's not a bug, it's a part of the game design. This does look amazing, except that the attire still appears to be painted on. I love the ideas behind the stamina and submission systems.
Last years game was great I thought and this years game is exactly how it should be.. a true sequel building off the last game and using message board complaints and comments from around the internet to make things right.
IGN has the first little blurb about it here: http://cube.ign.com/articles/600/600463p1.html
It looks like the graphics were kicked up again, which make it the best looking wrestling game I've seen. The mouth expressions are very cool, I hope they don't go too cheesy in some spots.
Hulk Hogan and the Ultimate Warrior in DOR2? Apparently these 2 legends are confirmed.
This game to me, will be the No Mercy killer. Let's hope they fixed that annoying 'stagger to my feet' after you give them a finisher bug in the first DOR. It would be ok in maybe 10% of the time, but in DOR it's like 85%.
Sounds great, looks great. Comes out in the fall, so it's still a while away.

- The submission system sounds great.
- They didn't add many new wrestlers. Hogan (hopefully of new) and Warrior are great additions, but the 5 new wrestlers will probably be divas that I won't use.
- The one thing I want them to do is allow for elimination style bouts and tag matches and for them to revamp their Royal Rumble mode to allow players to re-enter as new combatants should they get eliminated.
I'm hoping the new animation system will work, but since most motion capture doesn't really work well (traditional hand crafted animation is usually better) I don't believe it's a prudent move to improve the series.
DOR > Smackdown.
Oh and put in a create-a-belt that's free to use.

Lets hope so. The only bodyslam animation Yuke's has gotten right was Booker T's custom slam, which is said considering how basic a move it is. I have no faith in them to deliver a relatively bug-free experience, but DOR is their best bet after playing what the last Smackdown game has to offer. I think people should stay down from finishers, like Jonas said.Originally Posted by Jeremy
I don't mind once, but when you do your finisher 3 - 4 times in a row in attempt to end a match and the guy keeps getting up you have a design problem. I also hope that the submission system isn't like Smackdown at all. In Smackdown the wrestlers pin you after you've struggled out of a move.
Nothing spells "Spit in your face" like working on escaping defeat only to have it come anyway. No wrestlers pin after submissions. But the C-stick idea sounds like a stroke of genius.
I eagerly await more news. DOR is my favorite wrestling game series right now.

Definitely, and I think the stamina system will be an obstacle in the way of that. Yukes simply isn't good enough to pull it off. If I fall off the top turnbuckle from being too tired I'm going to be upset. Wrestlers don't do this in a real match, so why should I have to?Originally Posted by Jeremy
I liked Fire Pro Wrestling, but the breathing system in that game was ridiculous. This is an example of stamina ruining games. You'd have two combatants in the center of the ring rushing to breath first so they could continue playing. It gets in the way of the gameplay. Give us wear-down states. Like after 5 minutes of beating your wrestlers model looks a bit different, more worn and sweaty.
Also, give us Mr. Perfect as a legend! I hope the Hogan they put in is the old and tattered one. I really enjoyed playing with him in the Wrestlemania series.

jonas, they're no sold, BUT the person gets up very slowly after it, showing that the move took a lot out of them, but not enough to keep them down. It's just a modified, more realistic way of doing what was doine WM XIX. Korly, yeah, the breathing system seems nice. Hopefully, they can do it as well as in the Firepros.
