Thread: Superman Returns

  1. 10 bucks says a perfectly mediocre movie will be ruined by some dedication to Christopher Reeve.

Superman is apparently a giant, though. He's over the buildings (his trail dictates this by being over the buildings) yet he's huge. Almost 1/4 length of the building itself.

I think the poster looks pretty good, perspective aside.

I don't mind if it's a simple shot or something in the background, but if they do an open tribute it will probably be a bit cheesy.

  3. I don't mind a tribute as long as its done nicely like at the end of the film it says "For Chris" kind of like Shawshank Redemption's tribute to Alan Greene and the first Superman's tribute to the cinematographer.

York Street, Sydney was the place to be today if you were looking for Bryan Singer and the cast and crew of "Superman Returns".

The whole of Wynyard Park had been blocked off to public access, with security and police at every vantage point. Wearing my Superman T-shirt, I was quickly indentified as someone they needed to watch out for, but it was also a blessing, as the local media (TV and newspaper, who were also blocked out) quickly latched onto me for interviews and information. They were filming a scene outside a building which they converted into Metropolis General Hospital. This was reportedly the largest scene they'd be shooting for the movie, with around 1,300 extras being employed for the scene.

The extras were used as crowd, standing around outside the Hospital, holding banners and waving flags. The banners read, "Save Our Superman", "I love Superman", "Superman Don't Die!", "God Speed Superman". There were also dozens and dozens of flower arrangements lying in the park (as if in tribute for someone who was sick or dying).
I wonder why he's in the hospital?

I just dont think it can be done well in movie form

  6. Finally pics of Routh as Clark Kent:

Like I said, the dude looks ALOT like Reeve. He looks like he's a bit buff too, I think he'll ultimately be Reeve's muscle size but just a bit bigger. So far I'm really liking him as Clark....now for Superman!

  8. The 'S' insignia looks a bit small, and I wish the suit was a darker blue like in the animated series, but still not bad.

  9. I just can't stress enough my general hatred for Supe's suit from the day I was introduced to him. Baby blue just doesn't say "I'm a juggernaut."

  10. Maybe that's because he isn't a juggernaut.
