Everything I've seen of this game so far has not only been a treat for the eyes, but actually looks fun to play. So unless this game is ridiculously short or something, it's going to be a winner.
I agree. Crystal Dynamics is the reason I've been watching this one. Should be good. Welcome back Lara!Originally Posted by diffusionx

Ever since they started doing soul reaver I've always wanted them to take over the TR franchise and I'm glad that my wish is finally coming true. What happens to CORE after this is up in the air, but I don't really give a damn just as long as they don't get to tarnish anything after they start receiving their unemployment checks.Originally Posted by Spike

I agree that only The Last Revelation (4) is the only sequel that even came close. As for Angel of Darkness, believe what you have read. If you can believe it, they made the controls so busted it's damn near impossible to play.Originally Posted by Compass

LOL @ the control scheme. Sweet mother of christ. I blame all the bitches who whined about the original TR controls which were FINE. It was Prince of Persia/Out of this World/Oddworld in 3D and it worked JUST FINE (assuming you used the D-pad). The problem is that Core listened, removed the "tank" control method (whereby pushing UP always moves her forward) but left EVERYTHING ELSE intact. You can't do that. You have to revamp the entire way she moves if you want to get rid of the tank controls and still maintain any semblance of playability.
I was stuck in the first courtyard for awhile, falling all over the place because I didn't realize just exactly what they'd done. I fell near the door with the dobermans behind it and started taking damage from them... through the door... while I was like eight feet away. I lolled. However, I have a world renowned level of tolerance for bad games and I actually see myself playing all the way through this one. I've done the first five after all, I can't stop now.
By the way, my favorite thing about the series has always been the secrets, especially the little chime that played when you found one. It seems they took them completely out of Angel of Darkness. For that alone, I support the move to Crystal Dynamics.
But check this out for sickness. I also started God of War today. Guess which game I spent twice the amount of time on? Guess which game I will likely go back to tonight? You betcha. AoD, I just can't stay away!

Only a Tomb Raider whore could play Angel of Darkness over God of War. Okay, I'm guilty as charge myself.
is it me or is God of War over-rated? i played the game and enjoyed it, but i just don't think it deserves all this hype.
Compass quite possibly has the worst taste on these boards. I'm not surprised.Originally Posted by Jetman
