Well, I'm inclined to agree with you. What I dont understand is he/(she?) says that Tomb Raider(AoD) is a horribly controlling mess and is basically no fun. God of War is obviously the exact opposite. Yet, God of War goes back to the store? I seriously thought that was mistyped as it makes no sense.

I guess it's a sin for someone with cute Japanese girls in their av. to like awesome games with blood, violence, and intense action?I dont know...

I'm surprised Compass doesn't break out in hives playing either one, since AoD was developed in England, and GoW was developed in San Diego. Perhaps we need to break the news that neither of those places is near Akhibara.

  4. Compass would rather harm himself playing AoD than play one of the highest quality action game to come out in years. I think that's in the the Bright Club mission statement.

To be fair, Compass actually likes a lot of obscure Western made games on PC. His taste may be odd but it's never been tied to one region like Recap's.

  6. But I do so love to be known as an "f-chan". And I'll always adore Japan.

I'm quite aware God of War is a far better game than Angel of Darkness in seemingly every measurable way. That being said, it certainly hasn't grabbed me yet (played about an hour or so in, just got a Gorgon-stare freeze power), and at this juncture I'd say it is indeed quite a bit overrated. I don't want to go into exactly why 'cause this post will be long enough, and this is all derailing material anyway (but lol at this Kratos guy -- yeah, I'm real impressed that you have sex with whores between levels). Anyway, AoD, while sucky, is also hilarious in its awfulness, and I'm much more curious about what lies around the next corner. And even in its most broken state, it's still Tomb Raider, and as such, I'm still inexplicably drawn to it, even when, as I've admitted, it's by far the worst iteration yet.

God of War has not gone back to the store. I will finish that too and may even end up singing its praises.

I'm just pulling your chain, Compass. I think everyone has liked a shitty game over a well-made one at some point.

No, this has more to do with the fact that Compass is a mental invalid. I mean, Wind Waker as best game ever, lol for reals.

Holy shit. I missed that post. Wind Waker isn't even in the Top Five on the GameCube.

  10. This is available in the "usual places" right now for the PC.
