Is there a command to switch being multiple targets? If so, I apparently missed it. Still had no problem taking out enemies, but it would be a good feature to have.Originally Posted by Fighter-X
Maybe that's where they wanted the demo to end and were too lazy to put "to be continued..." ?Originally Posted by K3V

Xboxic is reporting that Tomb Raider is being delayed in the U.S. because they found a texture of an exposed breast in the game. I haven't found any other sites reporting on this yet, but the article wasn't posted on April 1st, so I'm not sure if this is legit or a belated April Fool's joke.

Umm it would take about four minutes to replace said texture.
I finally had time to sit down with the demo last night and I fucking love it. I really can't wait. What little that was there was very old school TR quality.

Pretty good game, though it would be a lot better if there was more actual raiding of tombs. It's very much "Movie Tomb Raider" and not really "Original videogame Tomb Raider." Shame, that.
I'll post something more comprehensive after a couple more stages (although at this rate I'll have the game beaten in another sitting or two).
Kinda disconnected thoughts because I don't feel like typing something more cohesive right now.
Overall, I really liked it. It was no PoP:TT and the game design is more Bond then original TR but it still stands as a good return for the series. Unfortunately, it's not until the last couple levels when they finally just give you some room to explore something and don't hold your hand through the puzzles, and then it ends right as it hits its stride.
The QTEs are pretty crappy, I wish they had left them out although the failed animations are pretty funny (nothing like watching Lara get smashed into steel girders by a train).
Graphics are good, although some occasional texture glitching and lazy programmers once again fucking up pixel shader 2.0 mar things here and there. I'm also a fan of how the only way for people with PS3.0 cards to turn down some of the next-gen effects is to edit the Windows registry (which makes it only run with PS2.0... but PS2.0 cards don't work). GG on giving the PC its second shitty 360 port already.
They also need to tone down the amount of damage enemies can take, it shouldn't take half the clip from an assault rifle to drop someone. Same goes for leopards, those are some of the toughest cats I've ever seen.
It took me eight hours to beat it and I really could've used something longer. Wasn't as... fulfilling as I was hoping for. Still pretty cool.

Well, from the screams and giggles coming from the other room, I gather that Mrs. Yoshi's initial impressions are positive. I know better than to try to get the first turn on a new Tomb Raider game. Tomb Raider is to Mrs. Yoshi what Castlevania is to me.
