Thread: Jaws Unleashed

  1. I posted a thread on this a few months ago...I was wondering what happened to it.

"All creatures will DIE, and all things will be BROKEN: That is the law of the SAMURAI."

  2. Anyone ever play Odell Lake in school as a youngster? It was that game where you played as different sea creatures and ate other sea creatures. I'm wondering if it was a popular piece of educational software or if it was just my school that got fooled into buying it.

  3. Why the hell did it take so long for this game to happen?! Seriously, this game must've been just waiting to happen for years...
EXCUSE ME, I'M IN NEED OF MEDICAL ATTENTION!

  4. While I would be much more excited for another Ecco game, since I really love the series, this one has me interested.

Hanging Gardens is a bitch, but it's also brilliant level design. Great stuff.

Just give me the same gorgeous underwater scenery and vague figure-it-out-your-damn-self puzzles and I'll be stoked.
I'm afraid Jaws won't have any of the vague puzzles, or harness the mysteries of the deep sea like Ecco. That would be a shame...

    Our school had it...
    Oregon Trail too.

I had it(pirated) on C64. It seemed fairly well known. I remember Compucentre often had it on display with their computers.

  7. Yeah, I ignored Odell Lake on a daily basis in favor of Oregon Trail (2000, even!) and Sim City (2000, of course!) while in school. Kinda funny that the game was well distributed. It was painfully simple and repetitive. Somehow they found a way to suck all the fun out of eating sea algae.

Oh, and I played Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing rather than it too. QWERTY.

Ecco Dreamcast looked and still looks remarkable.

I'm pretty sure it's hanging waters, and yes it is a bitch. In fact, the whole damn game is a bitch after you get past the first very easy level. From then it becomes very very hard and gets harder every level. Hanging waters, I remember is the 17th level.

Dude, I was getting tired of all the weird ass puzzle designs and was ready to quit when I hit Hanging Waters. Those levels are so fucking awesome looking and weird that I stuck it out until the end. Hanging Waters is awesome.

Beat it with 100% vitalits, btw XD
