I'll pray that the "British source privy to Microsoft's marketing documents and speaking under conditions of strict anonymity" is loony and making that up. All I can say is if Microsoft comes up with a marketing plan to make "Xbox 360" not sound ludicrous, I'll be impressed.

If it's true, I bet they were lured in by the idea of being able to easily craft a logo for a name like "Xbox 360"

I just found out Sly Cooper 3 is in the works. I bet it'll be at E3. WOO!

I predict all 3 companies will make a unison announcement that gaming is silly, a waste of time and that they have all decided to pull out of the business. Then they smile, shake hands and the only thing breaking the silence of the stunned crowd is a fat nerd fainting in the back row. Heh, this obviously files under the 'non-serious' prediction category.

My prediction is that we'll hear a big announcement from Rareware and also that the Xbox 2's launch lineup will be stellar.

Oh yeah. Both Xbox Next and PS3 will announce new non-game related functionality regarding movies and music, reaffirming their goals to be a media centre for the home and not just simple gaming devices.

Microsoft:

-The new Xbox won't be called Xbox 360, but "Xbox 2600." It will look like the Saturn but thinner, and will be playable at E3. And it will initially retail at $360 (console only).
-Xbox 2600 won't be backward compatible.
-Launch titles: Conker's Revenge, Cuddly Collect-a-Thon, Halo Remix, and Pro Football 2006.

Sony:

-Sony will be suspiciously silent about how the PSP sold in the US.
-No playable PS3 at E3.
-PS3 games will look noticeably better than the Xbox2 games.
-Titles in development: Gran Turismo 5, Devil May Cry 4, Ridge Racer Regurgitation, and Atari Museum.
-A new clamshell version of the PSP will be shown with a screen free of the dead pixel problem. It will also sport a touchscreen and stylus.

Nintendo:

-Nintendo's Gameboy Evolution will be backwards compatible with the DS and GBA, and will be nothing more than a DS with Gamecube-level power.
-The Nintendo Revolution will be shown and everyone will be in awe. It will revolutionize gaming by using Gameboy Evolutions in place of the standard game controllers, and by offering "online gaming" whereby gamers can upload their high scores and compare them.
-Surprise announcement: "Final Fantasy 7: Revolved." All that will be shown at E3 will be the name and a single screenshot, with no confirmed release date or description of the game, if it even is a game. Square fans will begin preordering the Revolution in large numbers.

I predict MS will get me so drunk that Xbox 360 will start sounding like a brilliant name.

I predict Sony will watch me like a hawk, thinking that I look like the type to walk off with anything that's not nailed down.

I predict Nintendo will ignore me completely, since that's what they've been doing for the past several years already.

That Nintendo news is believable. I'm looking forward to another year of RAH No. 1 hot hitting the U.S. That, and more wrestling game announcements from THQ. Nintendo will likely show off the GC Zelda in playable form, and MS might have some playable stuff for the Xbox 360 (a name that I like).

Gayest name of a system ever is already taken by DREAMCAST. It would take the whole Queer Eye crew plus whatever Sega's got left to come up with something even faggier Sad thing is I loved my dreamcast. So I guess that makes me gay?
