and the point still stands, if you went and censored it the humor of that episode would change, just like censoring Conker changes the humor of it

besides the fact that there was no need for it, nor was there a need to take gameplay sequences out, nor was there a need to change the focus of the game to a multiplayer game

Ok, let's try this again. You can't not say "shit" if the gimmick of the ENTIRE EPISODE is about saying "shit" uncensored on television. Otherwise, every South Park is funnier because "shit" and "fuck" are pretty much always censored. Still with me?

Now, if the storyline of Conker's revolved around saying bad words and not having them censored, then your argument would stand that it was stupid to censor them. It isn't. Beeping a few words isn't going to ruin the game, it's going to make it funnier because the words are part of the dialogue, not the plot. Do you understand now?

I understand where Kano is coming from, but what I THINK JohnPV is saying, is that if you were to take that ONE episode of South Park and then edit it, its no longer as funny. And now they are taking Conker, and editing ALL of the swearing, so its no not as funny.

It would be different if they were making a whole new Conker, where they could use the bleeps to full effect and stuff. But this is a remake, and they are editing what was all ready there. Like taking all the "Shits" out of the Shit Episode. Also taking out parts of the game, not all is known what was removed, it could be more than that Shit swimming part.

Conker is not a series of games, it ONE game and thats how it was done. South Park is a TV show that has to fallow FCC guidlines and got to have one show where they went all out.

Regardless of your stand on it, has Microsoft or RARE said anything as to why the changes were made to the dialogue? Like I said, there doesn't seem to be any real rhyme or reason to it. The game's still M-rated, still extremely violent and gory, why go to the trouble of bleeping something out that was fine the way it was?
