Thread: New Maps = Hot Sex

  1. I actually preferred the onfoot stuff in single player. For the most part.

First person ever to follow grammer rules on the internet. If you would like me to rephrase my statement.

Joust made himself look like a huge ass by saying there is no best PC shooter many times and then following that up by saying the best shooter is on a PC.

  3. And you still look like a fool. Let's use shooters. There are three, Halo 2, Tribes, Q3. I like both T AND Q3 more than H2, but like both of the first two equally. If you make me pick a best out of those three, I can tell you which one it's not going to be right away.

It's impossible in someones lifetime to play the required amount of time to make that kind of assessment. Like any video game arguement, comparing one game from one generation to another isn't possible either. Also, with certain FPS, the game can change radically from update to update. (Cstrike 1.5 is considered the best by some. Whereas DOD 3.1 is considered the best by others). Even Halo 2 experienced this when it was released. Alot of the top players still preferred the original.

I have logged 100's of hours into TFC,DOD and Goldeneye. Dozens of hours into Quake/Doom/Wolf etc. and casually played Halo, Far Cry, Call of Duty, [fps of the moment]. So, I really can't comment on the best, except I have had the most fun with TFC, DOD, and Goldeneye.
I think my answer lies between DoD and TFC. But I haven't played as many as you have.

Even though I love DoD, and think its the best, I don't possess enough inner douchebag to post a topic that DoD is the best online FPS because they made me pay for some new maps on a fee-based network.

The first sentence is a fragment. You spelled grammar incorrectly. The second sentence is also a fragment. The last sentence is completely grammatically incorrect.

    Just thought I'd help.

Does it deserve to be mentioned as one of the greatest RTS of all time?

Since I half assed your answer, at least give me an answer on this.

  7. For the record, Joust's point is valid. I DO like console FPS games, but if forced to pick the best FPS ever it would be on PC.

Halo 2 is in no way the Armies of Exigo of FPS.

Tell me what PC FPS is markedly better in multiplayer than HALO 2. I really want to know.

You can't be seriously comparing Quake 3 to HALO 2, can you? There's no contest; HALO 2 has better maps, voice communication, vehicles, etc.
    Time for a change
