Changeling + toxic and other of his ilk should still try getting into some Halo 2 games with us. I guarantee them they will have a good time. The fun factor of some of the shit you can do in Halo 2 is off the charts. (See the Halo 2 clan thread for examples.)

Toxic brought up Goldeneye. This game really is the Goldeneye of this generation. Best FPS you can play with all of your friends and have a great time. The LIVE interface actually makes it better than calling up all of your friends every day to set up a game too.

I never denied that Halo isn't a fun or a decent game. Hell, almost any FPS that you can get a group of buddies to play with is going to be alot of fun. That is why the genre is so popular.

My problem is with people who say it's the best game ever. Especially when all thier other PC FPS experiences are on shitty computers or in shitty cyber cafes.

I still might get aboard the H2 train .. but I will wait once the Xbox gets to a hundred bucks. I'm a cheapass.

Um no...first of all, many years, analysts will say that the best team didn't win. Second of all, If I have 5 equal things and they are better than 5 other things that are all different, there is no best, but they (the first 5) are better.

This is ridculous. You're trying to say that ALL PC FPSs are better than ALL Console FPSs just because of the keyboard & mouse thing? I think you're the one in need of a real eduation. OPINION INVALDIATED!

He never mentioned the K+B and his statement is sound. You were just cockfighting. I don't think his broad generalization was ALL PC FPSES are better than all console fpses, just that in his opinion the top two or three are PC fpses and he can't pick an outright favourite. If doom and tribes were tied for first at the masters and Halo 2 was next on the list, it would be third. No best, but doom and tribes would be better than Halo 2.

Under a logical argmuent, it would go kind of like:
In the case of a tie, the tied contenders will play each other and the winner in this playoff will be the champion.
No console FPSes are tied for first.
All the FPSes tied for first place are PC FPSes
A PC fps will be the champion.
