Thread: Don't you just hate hit and runs?

  1. Don't you just hate hit and runs?

I remember reading on here about someone having the same situation, and thought I'd bring the topic back up.

I was on my way home after work and stopped at an intersection. Just as the light was going to turn green, some guy nails me from behind. This is the first accident I've ever been in and wasn't sure what exactly needed to be done. The guy comes up to me and wants to take care of things without getting insurance involved, also, I could smell alcohol on him. I went ahead and called the cops to file the report. As soon as I got off the phone he said "I'm gonna get taken down hard, I'm gonna flee." He took off, but luckily, I got his plate number.

Needless to say, I was pretty shaken up. Unless the guy went into hiding, I'm sure he's gonna be spending the night in a cold cell. I know none of my information is going to get out, but the episode of Family Guy where the killer comes after Chris keeps coming to mind.

I guess the good thing that comes out of this is the massive scratch on my bumper is finally gonna be fixed.

  2. WEll glad yer alive and not a stain on the road.

See, that's why Family Guy is a cartoon, not a documentary. You'll be fine.

    Blame the Zionist agenda.

  7. After closer inspection of my car, I've found that it sustained much more damage then I first thought. Not only is the bumber slanted down and inward and the back side cracked and dented, but the driver door is out of line and slightly jammed and the rear driver side door is out of line and loose and isn't sealed.

I guess the bright side of things is that I'm not hurt, and things could have ended up alot worse.

  8. Sounds like your frame got bent.

Ah... gotta love unibody construction and crumple zones. Is the roof wrinkled or bulging anywhere?

What kind of car is it?

Either way, the car will never be quite right again, if the insurance doesnt total it, sell it right after you get it fixed.
