Absinthe tastes alot like bootleg liqour, only with loads of aniseed. Its awful, but you get a really mellow drunk from it (aswell as a god awful hangover.)

I'm a fan of Jagermeister over ice with a little bit of water, but it can sneak up on you because it goes down so easy and tastes so good. Haven't had any on hand in a long time. I should fix that.

Strong68 Absinthe, I ordered my first bottle about 3 months ago and have ordered a few more. After about a glass and a half I've forgotten entire nights, wandered streets and had engaging conversations with complete strangers who may or may not have been actually present. The only problem is that it's hard to function for the next couple of days without squinting my eyes. It's 70% and although the effects of absinthe are greatly exagerrated, it will definitely kick your ass. I highly recommend it unless you can't stand licorice. Other than that, Sparks or Red Bull and Vodka...

Damn. That's 140 proof- no wonder the weird shit happened. Licorice is good, but I'll stick to Jager and Sambuca.

Youre not really supposed to drink more than 3 or 4 shots of absinthe (I dont see why anyone could take any more than that, it tastes unbelievably horrid). It gives you a nice mellow feeling that slowly descends into drunkenness. Its worth trying, just dont go crazy with it and drink it like its any other alcohol - because its not. And youd be stupid to treat it like that anyway, that shit is expensive).
