    Sorry for the rant...

50% + 50% still equals 100 percent of the people paying for the game. Zelda will still be the top selling game regardless of your opinion. Until the series releases a bunch of bad titles, it will still be the premier franchise. It takes 3 or 4 bad-mediocre games to kill a series (Look at Sonic). Zelda really hasn't had a "bad" title yet.

How you can have an opinion on the Zelda series and have not played WW is beyond me.

  2. I have played every other game in the series.

50+50 percent of NINTENDO GAMECUBE OWNERS=.08% of Sony's market share. Sorry bro, more people bought GTA3 on PS2 in a week in the states than nintendo will get in the first 2 months of release.

In my opinion, yes that's right opinion, it won't be as good as Jade Empire or KOTOR 1 or 2, and that's that.

I'll stick with my X-box thx.

I loved nintendo back in the day, bionic commando, FF6, mega man, zelda, mario, gunsmoke (that game ruled). oh wait, er... I loved capcom and square when they mattered.

    Exaggerate much?

You insinuate the series is getting tired, and you list KOTOR2 as a superior game. Ok.

I'll stick with my X-box thx.
Much of the time, I feel guilty for lumping all x-box users in a similar group. Then I read messages like yours, and I don't feel so bad.

Sorry bro, but I don't see what that has to do with anything, Nor do I believe it's true; do you have any idea how many people bought Wind Waker, and how huge of a presale item it was?

    No one cares, shut up.

We are not all like the idiot here.

  5. You have over a month and a half of hours playing Halo2 this year, you don't count or get outside much.

I don't dislike Zelda, I'm not interested this year. I loved RE4 and Metroid, and too a smaller extent, TOS. I'm not a ninteno basher, I'm just not a fan of Zelda of late. That's all. I was the guy who liked The adventures of Link over the initial game as well so maybe I just don't get the series the way you guys do.

I thought Capcom did a wonderful job on the GB adaptations also.

  6. Nintendo's games routinely trounced the top PS2 games in sales. There may be little to choose from, and Nintendo may release few titles, but they sell quite well. Zelda will outsell all the GTA games on all systems combined during the week of its launch.

I've got the PS2 and Cube. You can keep the Xbox.

GTA3 sold about eight million, GTA: SA sold about 12 million, VC sold about 10 million, etc. SA sold 3 million at launch.

The total installed base of the GC is about 15 million...

Dont get me wrong, this new Zelda will be a huge success. Because really what is there on GameCube? It will sell a lot of copies. But I dont think this game is gonna be all that, and toxic, IMO, Minish Cap/WW/Majora's Mask were all pretty weak games, especially for Zelda. The series has been stumbling and all of these new games arent selling as well as the old ones (LTTP/Ocarina of Time/Link's Awakening) used to.

I still like Zelda but I seriously have barely enough time to play Metroid, Mario my shooters, DC games and the rest is eaten up by handhelds like my PSP. Call me an old man but I have seriously started weighing my gaming time. I have other projects like writing and drawing and Zelda would cut into them. Or maybe I just need a game schedule.

I meant how well the GTAs will sell during Zelda's launch week, not how well they've sold before now.

I won't argue about the playability of the future Zelda game. Because you and I both know it's just going to be OoT with updated graphics.

But, I think WW and MM were excellent departures from the series (Some even put them as thier favorites games in the series). Polarizing to some, but just Zelda with creative art design to others. Using Minish Cap as an example is pretty weak. Compare it to other series' GBA output (Splinter Cell, MGS, FF) and it is outstanding. Even compared it to other games in its genre (Shining Soul, Kingdom Hearts to a certain extent) and it is leagues better than those.

There is no franchise that has been as consistent in quality for over 20 years.
