What's funny about either of those two arguments is that you're giving way too much credit to the child of a ward of the state. The chances that the kid she would have given birth to would turn out anything other than a fuck up are two to the power of two hundred and seventy-six thousand, seven hundred and nine to one against. I don't know that I'd say having an abortion is irresponsible. I think it's smarter than having a baby you can't support.

It is a responsible correction of an irresponsible act (unprotected sex). So yeah, the abortion itself may not be irresponsible but the actions bringing about the need for it indicate a lack of responsibility. Intelligence has nothing to do with it. I know many morons who lead responsible lives.

I'm anti-abortion but I do feel like if you're under 18 then exceptions should be made. I guess I don't buy into the whole "it's my body, my choice" bullshit. It's another person's fucking body you're killing. I understand "it's a mistake" but I feel like in our society we take sex way too lightly. As if to some people having a baby is just a nasty side effect that happens sometimes after having sex.
But, the idea of getting an abortion because you're 13 (or any other young age) because that kid will be pretty much screwed in life is something I can get behind. Still, I'd rather see the kid adopted though.

I don't think anybody would rather NOT see the kid adopted, but there is no guarantee that will happen(or even a dependable likelihood), and it's still unsafe for both the mother AND child in this case.
When it's YOUR body, I'll be willing to listen to you say said aforementioned bullshit. Until then, you don't have to like it, but the fact remains that it ISN'T your body to make a decision with.
