See, that IS the problem. We should be spending more effort getting these people to be decent human beings and less effort on telling them how to circumvent situations in the name of "false responsibility". How responsible is it to be 14 weeks pregnant?

Women between 20 and 24 years old represent the largest age group, 33 percent, receiving abortions. Next are women between 25 and 29 years old making up 23 percent; then women between 15 and 19 years old, 18 percent; and women between 30 and 34 represent 15 percent. Girls younger than 15 years old constitute 1 percent of abortions performed in 2000, while women between 35 and 39 are 8 percent and women 40 years old or older represent 3 percent.
The groups also report that the majority of women, 57 percent, seeking abortions are poor or low-income

Are you comfortable with a selfish, irresponsible 13 yr old carrying a child to term against her will? What's the ramifications of that? You think its in the fetus' best interest to be carried to term by someone WHO DOESN'T WANT IT. The neglect this fetus would be exposed to might be as bad as the abortion itself.

Clearly you aren't understanding me at all. It is mistake by the definition of a mistake. I'm not a moron. I'm saying that reffering to it as simply a "mistake" doesn't seem to communicate the severity of this specific kind of a mistake. It's a much bigger deal than most other mistakes one can make.

Also, did you not read that I said that I think the girl should be able to get an abortion at age 13? I'm getting at people like my cousin who has a shitty paying job, no money, no plans and got pregnant not once but twice by her boyfriend who also has a very low paying job, no money, no plans for the future. It's just like, "oops. we did it again." I was using your quote to show an example of how I feel sex is taken too lightly in our society in general. Not this specific case.

If we regulated poor people, with limited prospects, having children .. most of us wouldn't be here today (which might strengthen your arguement. LoL)

Perhaps I shouldn't be using my cousin as an example because there's a lot more too it. Her boyfriend also has 3 kids by another woman who he is still technically married to. They have no money, shitty shitty jobs (think assembly line in a factory), have no home so live with my Aunt... it goes on.

To make matters worse in this specific situation my cousin is white and her boyfriend is black. I'm the last person to think that that matteres but unfortunatly some of her family members don't agree. So the kids are being brought up in a poor, over-crowded home by young parents with no future in a hostle environment. And the kick in all of this? I grew up down the street from her boyfriend as a child. We used to play basketball and stuff. Then we didn't hear from him for years (we both moved out of the neighborhood) and suddenly this is how we meet up again. Crazy.

She wants an abortion? She's 13 years too late. Anyway, she wont be having more kids, most likely if she has the abortion. It can't be good for her reproductive organs to have an abortion at that young of an age. So its win win there. Cept for her of course.
