The pilot sucked (so much so that it almost ruined the entire series), so I don't think I'll be picking up this DVD. And I even own the shitty Blade: Trinity DVD).
The season only got really good half-way through, but by that time the show had already lost a lot of viewers. And right as it finally gets totally awesome, it gets cancelled.![]()

I think they said the nudity comes into play during the series and not the Pilot.

about 70% of it WAS either bad or laughhably campy. It did get better at the end though and Sticky Jones even learned how to kick lol
But even with all of the criticism i've done for it, I still enjoyed it, i guess.
Once I met Jill Wagner the series improved twenty fold, even if the series was canceled by then.

I don't know, the early episodes were pretty bad, although they were a huge improvement over the pilot, which was horrid (and barely featured Blade at all).
I mean, Blade went to an unstoppable bad-ass in the films to a pussy getting smacked around by loser scrub street-fag vampires. Originally, the producers said there wouldn't be any drama in the show if Blade just killed everyone easily, but I guess even they realized that the wimpy Blade approach wasn't working, as halfway through the series Blade sudenly started kicking massive amounts of ass once again.
I would totally pick up the series. Like I said, it got better and better with each episode. If the series began with the quality that the last few episodes displayed, it would have been one of the best TV shows ever.I hope they hurry up and announce the rest of the season soon.
Whore.

Finally, we get a release date for the full series DVD set.
On February 12, 2008, New Line Home Entertainment will release Blade: The Series – The Complete Season on DVD. The complete Blade series will cover all 13 of the episodes completely uncut over four discs. The DVDs will be "unrated" and contain new content and alternate versions of scenes from the series filmed specially for the DVD, including examples of full-frontal nudity and harsher language.
