  3. Any impressions out there for the official Arcade Stick? I really dig the new 360 pad and all, but I'm having trouble pulling off a few moves reliably with it and I'm giving some serious thought to investing in a stick. AFAIK there's only the DOA4 one available, but no way am I gonna dump $60.00 on it just to lug it home and find out its junk and get stuck with store credit at EB or Gamestop. Also, is the thing even wireless? I'd honestly prefer if it wasn't plastered with game specific graphics, but I'd take the plunge if it worked decent...

Thank MS for making every accessory have their Nazi-ass chip in it. Otherwise, there would be stick choices and better deals.

    What Nazi-ass chip?

I can use said stick on my pc, it wins.

I'm not sure how well it works, but I've been told it's pretty good (On zboz2k, and pc)

    IBTN

Do you guys remember the X-Arcade and how it was supposed to be future-proof? I asked the company when they were going to release an Xbox 360 adapter. Here's their response:

It is still going to be some time before we have an adapter for this console.

Is hacking a 360 controler any harder than hacking apart any other controler?

If the answer is no then everyone needs to just build their own stick and silence their vagina.

Maybe, because Microsoft is not allowing any third-parties to create a 360 controller without their approval. I have no idea if the 360 checks to see if an attached controller is approved or not, but I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft did that.

Nonetheless, it shouldn't take long before the hackers succeed in making controller adapters, but I hope a good one is made with headset functionality so that I can wreck fools and talk trash with my SFAC stick.

I am actually picking that up today, so I can provide personal impressions either late tonight or tomorrow.

Although I've actually grown accustomed to the pad, there are a few commands that as you've noted would be less difficult using a stick. As for your concern with the stick -- I am certain that it's kickass. To date, Hori's products are highly praised for their quality and realiability.

Wow - you're still playing SFAC?
