I am actually picking that up today, so I can provide personal impressions either late tonight or tomorrow.

Although I've actually grown accustomed to the pad, there are a few commands that as you've noted would be less difficult using a stick. As for your concern with the stick -- I am certain that it's kickass. To date, Hori's products are highly praised for their quality and realiability.

Yes. Xenon chips need to be in all controllers for it to work. It's to prevent shitty 3rd party products.

I had kind of assumed that it wasn't wireless, but it's definately good to know that Hori is behind it (I hadn't bothered to even note the make when I glanced at it at EB). I still have my hopes up.

Wow, that is pretty gay. Microsoft should just suck it up and make a usb port thing with the chip built inside it.
