Alright, this is just getting too akward, I'm buying a headset tomorrow.
Has anyone else noticed left on the d-pad not being as precise as the other directions? I first came across it earlier tonight on my new wireless pad and thought it was just that one, then I tried out my other wired controller and found the same thing. It generally works just fine, but it doesn't recognize extremely quick double taps nearly as well as the other arrows. It's really kind of annoying.
Unless it's just something freaky about DOA4 itself, I need another fighting game to test this out with.
Please do get a mic. As for the d-pad, there were many grumblings about a generally mushy feeling -- e.g., you feel like you're countering mid, but it comes out high. The thing is, it does work, but you have to be very distinct and accurate with the presses, with the slightest of pauses between the directional input and then the button press. If you haven't done so already, spend some time in sparring mode, both doing the "exercises" and free sparring, and I think you'll get a better feel for the required inputs. But yeah, the feeling of imprecision can be annoying.Originally Posted by MechDeus

No, no, nothing like that. I'm perfectly fine with all that and have no issues, it's just the response of left. As in, I can go into practice mode and double-tap right + K as quickly as I possibly can and it all shows up, but if I do it with left it only registers one press. If I do it harder and slightly slower it works fine but real quick taps on left just don't come out like they should.Originally Posted by Prince Planet
I wouldn't be nearly as annoyed by this if it was the case with the other directions as well.
