The game wasn't worth the $10 I spent, as far as I'm concerned.

If you really want a new FPS take that $25 and put it aside in a fund for something like RS:V or FEAR or... hell, pretty much any other game in that genre on the system.

Fuck that noise. PGR is way fucking better then both RR6 and Need for Speed. And on equal footing with Burnout as far as I'm concerned. It's no where near as good as PGR2, but that game was one of Xbox's best.

It's true. PDZ just is not that great. It's actually the opposite of great. Listen to Mech, get RS:V, or my recommendation is spend your $20 on Black.

  3. Black is a good recommendation.

  4. I liked Quake 4.

Thanks for that. I needed a good chuckle.

Then why are you posting in this thread?

  7. Oh fuck that shit. Throw Ridge Racer at Revoltors head and get PGR. Fuck Ridge Racer and it's been years since there was a Need for Speed worth playing.

Most Wanted is actually surprisingly good. It's supposed to have dropped to $35ish, and is worth playing at that price.

Burnout Revenge fixes everything wrong with the current-gen versions. Definitely worth getting.

PGR3 is fairly short as racers go, but is a lot of fun while it lasts.

Ridge Racer 6 is, well, Ridge Racer. If you like the series, you'll like it. Others need not apply.

I've been really interested in RS:V. I got bored with RS a long time ago, but Vegas seems like a complete reinvention of the series and I love the idea of 24-style takedowns in the middle of a giant casino.

I did more reading on PDZ; apparently most people hated the mission designs, the complete lack of customizeable characters in multiplayer (a feature that was present on the N64 original 7 years ago), the slower movement rates, the broken diving/rolling mechanics, and the weak unlockables (GE was the first game that truly blew me away with the stuff that could be unlocked).

Right now I'm D/Ling the demo for RS:V and reading about Black.

Why do most people think PGR3 wasn't as good as 2? I was under the impression it was the same game with a few improvements and better graphics (which sound good since I haven't played PGR since the original).

God I love that. Whenever you're unsure what a game plays like, there's a really good chance they have a demo that you can download and find out for yourself without leaving your house or anything.
