I'd love to see your cock.
I took all your French Toast.
Friend code=Most overrated annoyance in gaming.
A thing has to be rated highly by someone to be overrated. I don't think the friend code thing has ever had a nice thing said about it beyond "at least Nintendo is finally letting us game online".

I think he meant that it gets more ribbing than it deserves, ie it isn't that bad. He's wrong.
IBTN. The friend code system was a major pain which didn't even work half the time on some games. XBL has set a standard so high that the least other companies should do is just blatantly copy it.Originally Posted by Joust Williams
Wii won't have individual friend codes for each game. Friend codes exist because they're safe for kids. If someone buys a used copy of Mario Kart and plays it on their DS, they do NOT have access to the friends of the previous owner of the game. The friends codes are dependent on the game and the console matching.
Since Wii's a typical ROM-disc system, friends lists won't be stored on the games themselves so there's no need to complicate a friends list with codes for each game.
That's my guess, anyway.
No, they exist because Nintendo is a developer that half-asses most of the stuff they do.
Uh, no, friends codes exist for protection.Originally Posted by Joust Williams
Whatever you say. What's the difference between creating a user account with a login/password and a friend system built into some cheap flash memory on the system than having a crappy friend code assigned to you that is different for every game and game/system combination? Well, aside from the obvious convolutedness and the cost savings to Nintendo, that is...

I think he meant to say it was an exaggerated annoyance.Originally Posted by James
