Why would you buy the Wii version if you were just going to use the GC controll settings?

That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

Not really. Although I can't say from experience since it isn't out yet, I can see there being times when I want to use the wiimote and other times where I just want to lay down and play the game normally. Now I don't know which version I want to get. Is the Wii version going to look any better over the GC one?

Lame. As ElCapitan said, sometimes you want to flail around, others you just want to use a damn gamepad.

Now I actually have to think about which Zelda to buy. The advantage of the Wii version, I thought, was that I'd get the choice of how to play.

I believe only the Wii version supports widescreen. Or maybe I'm making that up. I swear I read it somewhere...

Well the Wii hardware will make it look better (even if only slightly) just through processing power, correct? Besides, why even buy a Wii if you aren't all in on how the games play?

Sometimes flailing around like a spastic is fun, sometimes it's not worth the effort. I'm really looking forward to the Wii, but there are going to be times when I won't feel like flopping around with a controller. All it takes it one intense 10-hour workday and all of a sudden it seems like too much trouble.

That some sucky news. I'd at least like to have the option as to which control style to use during a given play style without having to switch one version of a game for another. I hope they change their minds on this, but I'm not expecting them to.

TP's gameplay by all accounts suffers with Wii control. Just get the GameCube version!That's what I am going to do, as long as the game is the worthy successor to LTTP/LA that all the 3D games have not been.
