Thread: Official Nintendo Wii thread

  1. I got mine used for $60 with a wavebird, memory card and 1 game (with the digital out too). That's not too bad!

I got mine at Japanese launch with Monkey Ball and Luigi's Masnion for $450. I easily got my money's worth over the last 5ish years.

No, thats not. I had the opportunity to win Atlas', but I decided not to go all the way. I just dont need the system, I have plenty of games, and $60 is still $60. Plus Josh was making fun of me.

Did I mention it's the fabulous purple color?

  5. So is mine, fantabulous purple indeed. Fits right in any HOMOsapien's decor.

I've had a ton of fun playing my DS online and I'm sure the Wii will be at least as good as the DS's setup so I'm good to go.
Well, when I see my friends IRL I can remember my GamerTag, but fuck if I remember a "Friend Code." Also, fuck if I'm gonna remember ALL of my codes since it's different for every game.

Course, if you see your friends in real life and just play a match with them, in person, in whatever WFC game you both have then you both would be added to each other's friend list without ever entering in a single number at all.

I think Metroid Prime Hunters had the best online DS experience as it let you add people you played randomly to a "rival" list so you could find them again easily. Every DS game should have this.
My biggest gripe with XBLA is that everything is perfect except how you get into a game, which on the 360, feels like shit. Click to find a game, look for a game, find a game, try to join the game, get told you can't join the game, be forced to push B to go back to the online main menu. That is a huger pain in the ass than anything online with the DS. DS = select game type you want, searches intill it finds someone and can succesfully start the match.

I may have no clue who the hell is online from the in game menu, but match making is much more important to me in the long run.

I don't know man, I've had way more problems with timing out and not getting games started in Tetris than on any game for the 360 (minus SFII).
