I live in a dry county, but I live in Texas. There's quite a few dry counties around here.

Dude... where? Granted I'm near Harris county and you can buy Alcohol on any day before Midnight the next day (starting at noon) and at bars, 2 o clock is the limit.

You can still purchase alcohol in Night Clubs though. You just can't buy it at the local convenience store.

The better neighborhoods are on the north side of town anyways. You can get beer in Plano or Addison easily.

No, these places are only inhabitted by aboriginals. I don't mean like a ghetto or anything, its basically desert, bush, and aboriginal communes. Alot of them were only made dry recently due to problems with abuse and other crime caused by drinking.

I try to not think about it. I want there to be a good reason why we got this ticket, but there isn't one. I'm 22 and he is 21. We were going to watch the clone wars dvd and then play xbox. We were going to have a few beers while playing said games and watching said dvd.

But we got our beer taken away, and a $200 something ticket.

Why, I don't know. I can't really think of a good reason for this to be this way. There are plenty of ways to prevent boozers from ruining public life, like stiffer public drunkenness fines, or restricting drinking to homes and restricting how much you can have in your car at one time.

And yet in Austin being the state capitol you can go out and buy beer, wine, ect ect from 7am to midnight Mon thru Friday & Saturday until 1am from almost any place that sells it.
