OK, I'm done.
I think MS's 1st party line up was better (big suprise), but I agree with the point you were making by saying it. I think Nintendo showed great games that should be considered a very successful showing, even if there weren't ground breaking announcments. It kept me more hyped still than PS2's/Sony's showing.Originally posted by TriForce
Nintendo sucks because an independent company didn't get their games to E3? ok...
Mario Sunshine, Zelda, Metroid Prime, Wario World, Metroid Fusion, Yoshi's Island, etc. make this the best Nintendo 1st party showing EVAR for a single year.

I am also very underwhelmed by Nintendo's offerings at e3, especially on Gamecube. Basically they had their major franchises, but I am not impressed by any of those games. I'll admit I am not a Mario/Zelda fan in the first place. But I really wanted to want them.... The only GCN 1st part game that's really intriguing to me is Animal Crossing.... and only because it's strange. Go figure.
But I was kinda pleased with some of their GBA efforts. Does Golden Sun 2 count for them? Camelot made the game but Nintendo showed it because they publish it...... so if that counts they had the game of the show in my opinion!
I also thought Metroid Fusion looked decent. Game & Watch 4 looked like fun (nostalgic reasons though). I am very disappointed by the no-show for Fire Emblem as it's just about my #1 anticipated game!
....
Yeh, so I guess I'll have to agree with those who came away unimpressed, which is a shame because I really want to want a Gamecube. But I think I am going to have to depend on 3rd party games to sell me one.![]()
what are you talking about? Nintendo couldn't have shown those games. They had the biggest booth at the show, and it was filled with tons of games. Why would they show games that are like 30% done when they had killer games like metroid and zelda to show off? obviously nintendo did well with their booth when the majority of people claimed either metroid or zelda was the best game of the show. they clearly have tons of momentum coming out of E3.
What crackheads have you been talking to? Those weren't even the best games at Nintendo's booth, much less the show...Originally posted by Kinopio obviously nintendo did well with their booth when the majority of people claimed either metroid or zelda was the best game of the show.
Can you indulge as to which were? What crackheads have you been talking to? Those weren't even the best games at Nintendo's booth, much less the show...
Crackheads with taste, apparently. Although I would put mario up there with zelda and metroid.Originally posted by EThugg

Actually, DOOM 3 had a much bigger 'Game of the Show' buzz, even by console-centric press.obviously nintendo did well with their booth when the majority of people claimed either metroid or zelda was the best game of the show.
What good games did MS have apart from Blinx and shenmue 2 on their booth?Their booth wasnt much better than sony's (depending on what you think of ape escape 2 and SOCOM) and was definetely far behind Nintendo's. The xbox had a pretty good third party showing though , loads of innovation and new ideas.......Originally posted by EThugg

If nintendo did release all those strong hitters in a single year I would buy all of them, I wouldn't abstain from buying just to wait for a different game the next month.
