Thread: This is why Nintendo simply SUCKED donkey balls at this e3!

  1. Finally I can respond... stupid forum, stop stopping me from posting!

Mario, SFA and Wario are all better than Metroid or Celda. Both look good, but nothing close to game of the show.

Blinx: The Time Sweeper, Brute Force, Crimson Skies: High Road to Revenge, Halo 2, Kakuto Chojin, MechAssault, Midtown Madness 3 (very iffy but I'm listing it anyways), Project Ego (MS is Publishing it, that makes it 1st party.), Project Gotham 2, Psychonauts, Rallisport Challenge online, Shenmue 2, Sneakers, Tork, The Unseen.

That's many more good games than Nintendo showed for GC, and (with the exception of Midtown Maddness 3 possibly) all are solid AAA games (even if I hate Halo,I can admit it's AAA, and even though I think I'll like it, I know MM3 isn't).

  2. how can you list midtown madness 3? they must have been really desperate for demos if they had that game on the showfloor. that demo completely sucked.

was halo 2 and PGR2 playable? i didn't see them. i didn't spend much time in MS's booth, but I spent enough time to know that the kung fu game sucked, shenmue 2 looked like a DC game, and brute force could be a cool online game.

  3. its all a matter of personal taste

personally i felt Nintendo had the best games at the show

    Metroid Prime
    Metroid Fusion
    Zelda GBA and GC

those 4 alone have me quite excited more so then what else was shown
    but thats my tastes

Why would they have to be playable? They were part of MSs 1st party E3 line up, regardless of level of completeness.

    Hense it wasn't listed.

shenmue 2 looked like a DC game
Hardly. You've got vision problems, cuz the difference side by side is night and day.

and brute force could be a cool online game.
BF will be a cool game, even in one player mode.

I plan to buy all of those games, but GOTS? Seriously now... I just don't see it, sorry.

  6. I actually in all honesty didn't think this years E3 was any big whoop other than the big three Nintendo games and some sega games.

Maybe some sites didn't cover it all that well, or all the cool stuff was locked in their own subscribers thing. A few years ago we would have access to loads of cool videos and content on gamefan online or past videogame websites.

Ah well since I can't find any more kickass videos of Metroid in MPEG I'll have to wait for other fansites to have their stuff up or wait till Spaceworld.

well like i said its a matter of personal taste

In my opinion either Zelda GC, Metroid Fusion, or Metroid Prime were GOTS for me
with me heavly leaning towards Zelda GC

ive read up a bit on the Metroid Prime use of Visors and i find it to be a very interesting element added to (IMHO) a stagnant Genre (FPS's) im hoping Metroid Prime has some element of multiplayer it probably wont but i think that would be a nice addition

like i said though its all a matter of personal taste

there were alot of games that interested me but i didnt think the videos i saw showed enough gameplay elements for me to consider them GOTS

  8. I have Insider, watched over a dozen Nintendo vids... I'm very excited, but I'm more excited about Mario than the 2 being colled 'GOTS by some, and I'm more hyped about the much more innovative, newly announced Blinx. Remember when the exciting part of E3 was hearing about wonderful new games? Not seeing videos of games announced for well over a year? *sigh* those were the days...

Have you checked www.nintendo.com? It's Quicktime, yes, but it's also the most and best (and clearest) gameplay footage you'll find anywhere on the web. Same goes for all their games they have on their site (and most developers this year, surprisingly).

  10. Yeah I've been there alot of times, my computer can't do quicktime without crashing explorer ever since I tried to download quicktime 5 which sucks alot of ass. I've seen that wmv movie like a billion times and it's great footage but it's time for something new.

Gamerweb seems to have clear EVERYTHING especially they're Metroid Prime shots but the good videos are locked.
