Right now I believe it's DoA 4, then DOAX2 and then Tecmo will decide wether Code Cronos or Ninja Gaiden 2 comes next.

And I agree with what you say about VF4. I loved VF2 because it struck a nice balance between the rigid VF gameplay and actual accessibility. VF3 was just crap and VF4 simply requires way too much effort for such little output. It's just not worth the time to learn, especially here in the States.

Oh, I thought it was coming out for $20. Nonetheless, I'll still pick it up since I passed on the original.

    That doesn't make any sense.

This explains everything. You're a button masher, so you have no clue what the hell a good fighting game is.

nice journalism! You pulled only parts of the sentence out to twist.

And I'm not a button masher. I used to be in the SF 2 tournament scene about ten years ago. I've won my fair share of tournaments back then. I grew up in the Rockford Illinois area.

All I'm saying is that I no longer play games for status. I play them for enjoyment.

It seems you still have the mentality of teenager and still wanna play cock wars. But everyone here already knows that.

You said it was the better game. You didn't say it was the easier game to train a chimp to play. Good implies depth. People need to look up what "favorite" and "best" mean. They are not the same damn thing.

    What???

    Good is relative.

    Favorite is relative.

    Best is relative.

What are you trying to say? A game is only good if it is deep, any game can be your favorite, but only games YOU like that are deep can be considered "good"?

Beyond the best/favorite debate, good doesn't imply depth at all. It may for you, but that isn't universal. YOU may need to look up what good means, but depth isn't mentioned anywhere.

When expressing one's views favorite and best can have the same definition. Message boards are all about opinions. Good only implies depth when you speak of your opinion of a fighting game.

I've seen, an played against top tier national tournament players in VF4 and SC2, MVC2 and SF3. Hell, I worked with one in Chicago. I could jump in an be competitive against them. The more I play against these high level players, the more I view them as button mashers, in my eyes. The were fiending all over the place.

I just can't take fighting games seriously anymore.
