Are you buying Xbox 360, or waiting for PS3? A simple poll

Good enough I suppose. New games I like in a quantity greater than 3 would meet the other prerequisite for purchase. Xbox exclusives that is.

As I get older, I care less and less about video games. That said, I'll get the 360 for Halo 3, backward compatability, and the other media features.

So, the 360 will not launch 6 months prior to a new Sony system only to be completely obliterated when said Sony system launches? That's exactly what is going to happen, and it's exactly what happened to the Dreamcast.

That's definately not exactly what happened to the Dreamcast, considering it launched over a year before PS2 in Japan and America.

I'll get whichever system first has a game I need to play. I'm sure I'll need to play Halo 3, Killzone 2, and MGS4. Nothing else announced is worth buying a system for.

I will probably buy the Revolution and PS3. So I voted for PS3. Good luck to the Xbox360, though.

My friend and I are both going to head to X store in exactly 2 years after the PS3's release to each purchase one. I'm just trying to save 2 to 300 bucks, he's just waiting for the right modding tools to come out. ;D

As most have said, Xbox 360 since it comes out sooner... the way I see it, I normally don't get systems at launch (heck, last time I did was Sega Cd...), but I am really looking forward to every game being in HD and DD5.1... gotta get use out of my new equipment (within the last year), so it's a worthy purchase for me. I also am looking forward to the new additions to live (except micro transactions). There are already plenty of games to get me excited too, despite an initial lackluster show on MTV (and even the first few days of E3, really). That still will give me at least a year to save up for PS3, which I probably won't even get at launch since I'll already have a 360, and I'll probably buy a standalone HD-DVD player.

slowly but surely i have been getting less and less moist for launches. if i get anything at launch it would be the Revolution. but right now theres nothing from the 3 that makes me generate some serious panty gravy.

Me too.

But that's another thread, I guess. The only new console I'm sure I'll be picking up is PS3, mainly because it has the games I'll want to play in the years ahead (MGS4, Devil May Cry, etc).

Gears of War looks promising, but I can't see myself picking up a 360 anytime soon. And God only knows about the Revolution.
