I went to this expecting a different take on the slasher genre. It had good stuff, including good gore and some decent suspense, but then it all fell apart into your typical hollywood ending which then invalidates all the cool things that happened before it and just fucks up the whole movie. So majorly dissapointing. Wondering if anybody checked it out and had a different opinion.

I'm going to watch this via bootleg soon but I keep hearing the same marketing bullshit about "A TWIST YOU WON'T BELIEVE!!!!" or something. It's been out for years already in Europe only recently being localized.

Man, no one is gonna like lesbians anymore. Movie was decent. If at all possible just steal the uncut version and watch it at home so you wont have to deal with canadians talking in the theater. Oh and the hot girl who plays the Diva in the Fifth Element is in this.

I've seen it last year, and found it to be pretty good, even with the twist that kinda doest make much sense in regards to some of the events that take place during the course of the film. I have seen original, uncut French version, but from what I read, US R cut still retained alot of the bloodshed, which is a plus.

But raw, brutal approach, and no fear to shy away from the violence, made it closer to the horror and exploitation flicks of 70s and 80s before all that Hollywood pc bullshit went into fashion.

Well, I never ended up seeing it.

It's out on DVD now, so I think I'll hit rental place on the way home and try it out tonight.

I've heard good and bad things about it, but I have to admit, that's a hell of a cool cover.

the first kill scene is quite possibly the BEST ever. seriously. the other 2....3(?) not so hot and the movie space in between is pretty meh. i mean its not bad for a rental/archive but i wouldnt pay full price. and the "twist" ending is pretty lame and makes you wonder how most of the movie happened then.

Yeah, I keep hearing the first kill is a classic and that the "twist" ending is so retarded that it just about ruins the whole movie. Guess I'll find out tonight.

The ending is lame and unneccesary, but I think the pros in this movie outweigh the cons. Very cool kills, and some pretty good suspense sequences.
